Reflexology by Heather Thompson (MAR)
Clinical reflexology is a non-invasive complementary health therapy, based on the theory that the entire body is mirrored in the feet. Heather’s reflexology fuses Western & Eastern reflexology principles together using the theory of the Traditional Chinese Medicine System and its meridian channels. Using special finger placement, techniques and pressure over specific acupressure points in the feet or ankle. These points follow specific channels, known as meridians, also used in acupuncture. These improve blood flow, release tension, and can unblock stagnant or stuck energy. This release allows the energy to flow more freely through the meridians (energy channels), promoting relaxation, a healing response and the restoration in the whole body, helping functional imbalances and restoring the flow, returning the body to a more natural state of well-being.
Reflexology has been shown to be effective for:
Arthritis, digestive disorders, fertility, chronic pain, relaxation, menstrual problems, hormonal imbalances, sleep disorders, back pain, endometriosis and can be a healing compliment alongside medical treatments.
