Pilates group classes at Core:

 

Pilates group classes at Core are restricted to a maximum of 8 clients per class to enable the instructor to tailor the class to the needs of the client. 

 

There are different classes available to suit different client needs as well as general classes that are taught according to the ability of the group:

  • Beginners/gentle Pilates

  • Pilates for pregnancy: a class focusing on improving core muscle strength and posture to help prepare for birth and support the growing bump and the mother's body, includes relaxation and breathing sections within the class

  • Postnatal Pilates: a class working on regaining core, pelvic and abdominal strength safely in the postnatal period. This class can help address issues with pelvic floor weakness (incontinence/urgency) and diastasis recti (split abdominal muscles). Mums can bring their baby. Suitable from 6 weeks post-delivery (12 if a c-section).

Please see the timetable for details of class days and times.  Booking and payment is on a block basis with the cost working out at £8 per class.  Bookings can be arranged by email or phone.

 

Bring your own mat.  Wear clothing that is comfortable with a bit of stretch, e.g. jogging bottoms and a t-shirt, and socks on your feet.
