Service Description
Postnatal Mum & Baby Pilates can help to safely improve abdominal, back and pelvic floor muscle strength and improve posture to help prevent back problems and general aches and pains. This class helps to speed up postnatal recovery, supports your preparation for return to other forms of exercise, and can help address issues with split rectus abdominus muscles, post C-section abdominal weakness, and/or weak pelvic floor/incontinence/urgency. The mum and baby class is suitable for mums with their baby aged 6 weeks (or 12 weeks after a c-section) to 1 year. Bring a mat for you and a blanket for your baby to lie on and a couple of wee toys to play with. The class is run to fit as much Pilates into the session as possible so you get the most benefit from your time in class each week. Baby can either sleep or lie a blanket/playmat beside mum's mat, you can feed, change and comfort your baby whenever you need to. The class has a maximum of 8 mums in the studio.
